Honoring the centenary of pathbreaking historian, activist and educator Howard Zinn, this webinar will guide educators in incorporating Zinn’s dynamic approach to U.S. history into their curriculum. Educators will learn how their students can work with primary source documents from Voices of a People’s History of the United States to bring to life a wide range of voices of rebels, dissenters, and protesters from the country's past. Through the analysis of the text, students gain a deeper understanding of history, and through the performance process students gain confidence to use their own voices. During this webinar, educators will learn about the organization, Voices of a People's History, learn how they can get involved, experience part of the Voices curriculum, and receive resources for their classrooms.
