Danny Glover, Howard Zinn, Jasmine Guy, Chris Moore, and Anthony Arnove will present a preview of “The People Speak” in Atlanta as part of the Center for Civil and Human Rights’ 10-day program called 60 Years of Progress… 10 Days of Recognition: Atlanta Honors the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

In Tribute To Anita Roddick
Actor Colin Firth and producer Livia Firth, with activist Sam Roddick, are hosting an event in London to highlight the plight of political prisoners within the American judicial system. The night centres around the stories of Mumia Abu-Jamal and The Angola 3 – the latter being the longest known political prisoners held in solitary confinement.
Please join HOWARD ZINN in Boulder, Colorado for a live performance of dramatic readings and songs from VOICES OF A PEOPLE’S HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES with his Voices co-author, ANTHONY ARNOVE, Alternative Radio host DAVID BARSAMIAN, African American historian and a scholar VINCENT HARDING, filmmaker DANIEL SALAZAR, and a local cast of Coloradan activists, musicians, scholars, and artists.
In this special Mavericks presentation, the audience will be treated to a sneak preview of clips from the documentary The People Speak, along with a discussion on stage between Zinn, Damon, Moore and actor Josh Brolin (who performs in the project) about the process and their motivations
